The Fruits of Naam

The moment I placed
Naam within my heart
All my sins were destroyed,
Like a small spark
Burning a huge haystack.

K.S.S., p. 84:11

Let your soul stay
Absorbed in Naam,
Be indifferent to the world;
Have unshaken faith, Kabir,
In the Master's lotus feet.

K.S.S., p. 85:22

A golden chance like this
You'll not obtain again;
Catch hold of Naam,
The true saviour of all:
In the twinkling of an eye
You will swim across
The world's dismal sea.

K.S.S., p. 85:23

Fix your hope only on Naam,
All other hopes discard;
Even if you succeed
In building your house in water,
You will die in a state
Of unfulfilled thirst.

K.S.S., p. 85:24

If your practice of Naam
Be as little as a grain
And the load of your sins
A thousand pounds,
Even if half a grain of Naam
Penetrates your being,
All your sins
Will burn to ashes.

K.S.S., p. 85:26

The bonds of a million karmas
Will in a moment be annulled
If once Naam comes within;
Deeds of merit
Done for eons
Are futile
Without the practice of Naam.

K.S.S., p. 85:27

How can man become free
From Kal's noose
When with manifold shackles
He is held?
The merciful Lord
Has provided Naam
To sever once for all
The noose of Kal.

K.S.S., p. 87:48

Sever the noose of Kal,
The noose that throttles
The entire world;
The Master has given
The saber of Naam —
Slash the chain
To gain freedom
From misery and pain.

K.S.S., p. 87:49
