People talk endlessly about the Lord's Name without really knowing what the Lord's Name is. Kabir says that outward talk about the Name is of no value. Name can neither be conveyed through spoken words, nor can it be seen with the physical eyes; it has to be experienced within. Only he who has experienced the Name within himself can reveal its secret to others.

Is there anyone
Who can tell me of the Lord's Name?
Anyone who can bring to my view
That which is invisible?
All talk endlessly about His Name;
No one knows its profound secret.
Outward talk and show
Are meaningless;
He alone can give me joy and peace
Who himself sees, experiences,
And then reveals the Name.
The true Name, O Kabir,
Cannot be conveyed
Through spoken words.
Without himself realizing the Name,
Who can ever know its secret?
