Dear son
A letter from you was given to me by hand. I was happy to read and note its contents. Your 10 rupees have also arrived. I will be sending Narain Singh any time now. You had written that when you find time you would be coming to the Dera on a one-day leave. So the time has not yet been found!
The stone for the main Satsang hall has been prepared and has arrived in the Dera. Babu Mohan Singh sent it by railway delivery from Sialkot. Please let me know how much it has cost.
Do your Bhajan and Simran every day; also read selections from Hazur’s books daily. Hold Satsang every day, whether for an hour or an hour and a half. The True Status, my son, belongs to Naam, the Shabd Dhun; every other status is false. So attach your surat, nirat, and the higher mind, with Love, to the sound of the Shabd Dhun. When the soul, with loving devotion, will listen to it for a minute or two, or four, five, or ten minutes, innumerable sins and transgressions will be set aside, and that soul, becoming pure, will recognise the sound of the Shabd and merge within It to obtain the bliss of the Shabd Dhun. Then during this very lifetime it will certainly reach Sach Khand. But do not be in a hurry, my son. Always hold Love for the Shabd Dhun within your mind.
Do not waste any time when you are free from official work. Not a minute of this time will be had again. You and I are to make our Home in the Shabd Dhun while still in the body. The love and devotion of the inner attentive faculties and the inclination of the higher mind should never be neglected. Everyday affairs, in fact, do not stand in our way. There is ample time to do our Spiritual Work, and it has to be done. Nothing worldly will serve us at the final hour; only the Satguru’s Word and Naam Dhun will protect us at that time.
