Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to Babu Sawan Singh, and Babu Gulab Singh, Gajja Singh, Basant Singh, Sunder Singh, Chanan Singh, Nanak Singh and the other Satsangis with you; also, to Nabi Bakhsh the craftsman, to the masons and to all others, warmest greetings.

I received your letter and was pleased to know of your well-being. The invoice for the girders has been received, but not the girders. It is hoped they will arrive in a day or two. Ten girders were expected but the invoice shows that eleven have been dispatched; that is, there is one extra girder. Write to me by return post about the stone: will you be sending it or should it be bought in Amritsar? Please reply urgently as the stone has to be placed under the girders. We did not purchase it in Amritsar in case you have bought it. We shall do as you write. Stone from Amritsar will cost about 20 rupees, including freight. It would be good if you could send it. Again, I repeat: please write soon what should be done about the stone for the girders. A box ceiling is now being put on the building. Nihal Singh the carpenter became sick and went mad, so we replaced him with another carpenter. He has constructed the frame for the exposed deck roof. One hundred cross-ties had already been prepared by the time your letter arrived. A total of 140 cross-ties will be needed for the roof, including the 100 that are ready. We are now waiting for the girders to arrive. The invoice has come, so the girders also should be on the way. You have already written about the coal tar; that too should arrive here soon.

Warm greetings to Babu Gajja Singh. A letter has been received from you along with the copies of the book. The other letter that you wrote from Fakiran Headworks has also been received. However, the letter with the books arrived after some delay as the railway people misdirected the package. Five copies and the index have been received.

Let me remind you to please continue doing your Bhajan and Simran. The compassionate Hazur, the merciful, is always with you, and will bestow His Mercy. If you feel weak, it is all right to do Bhajan and Simran, and to listen to the melody of the Shabd Dhun, while lying down – there is no harm if sitting is not possible. As much attention as you can give will be to the good. But pay attention wholeheartedly, and keep your longing in that direction. And as regards the government work, the compassionate Lord Himself, will do it all, and indeed is already doing so. You should not become perturbed. In illness, it is good to keep up one’s spirits. His Grace and Mercy will be upon you, and indeed it is already so.

Please accept the greetings from Hakim Singh the mason. He is a Satsangi and a relative of Sunder Singh of Battery No. 1. He would like to come to you if there is any skilled work for him; or if there is some other work, such as on contract, etc., then, too, please write. In case you wish to write to him directly, the address is: Hakim Singh, Mason, c/o Babu Sher Singh, Supervisor, Lahore City Railway Station. He will wait for your letter for four days. This mason has now come here with Jawahar Singh of Amritsar, who constructed the durbar hall.

Day and night there was much concern here about your illness. It is good that you have now received Hazur’s Grace and Mercy. He is merciful and will shower His Mercy upon you. You write that from time to time you keep getting letters from people at home in which they sometimes write one thing and sometimes another. Do not feel disturbed; when you feel strong we will look into it. This is the householder’s lot; many such problems arise in family life. If you think it appropriate, write to them that you will inform them before you come home on leave.

Please continue with your Bhajan and Simran every day; the compassionate Hazur is always with you. You wrote that you were holding Satsang. This is very good. It is important to do Bhajan without fail – there is no Real Work other than Bhajan. Reply to this letter by return post because day and night my thoughts remain with you.

Best wishes from Bibi to you, her true dear brother. Please also accept warm greetings from all the residents of the Dera.
