Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh.

Dear son

A canister of ghee has been sent to you by parcel. Please send someone to Rawalpindi railway station to pick it up and then inform me by letter. Your 100 rupees have been received – Bachint Singh left five notes of 20 each – and credited to the expense of the bricks.

Ghat Ramayan must be printed, my son – whatever it costs, the money spent for such Spiritual Ends is well spent – and get two hundred copies of Anurag Sagar printed as well. This will be a benevolent act on your part. We shall see to Hazur Swami Ji’s books later on, in two years’ time or whenever His will ordains it.

The brick-kiln has been stacked with 60,000 bricks. Please continue with your Bhajan and Simran every day, and give my warm greetings to Basant Singh, Nikka, Chanan Singh, Narain Singh, Ram Chand Ji the treasurer, and to the Satsangi brothers of the three army batteries.

You and the other Satsangis must remember to do your Bhajan and Simran every day. Detach yourselves from everything and love the Satguru from within. Keep the surat, nirat and the higher mind inwardly focused on the music of the Shabd Dhun, and with the Satguru’s Love examine the quality of that sound. Since the human body is unreal like a dream, always be apprehensive that we won’t stay in the world forever. As the body itself is unreal, everything else in the world is unreal too. Naam Dhun alone is real, so hold fast to It. When every day you wholeheartedly attend to the Shabd, the mind will shed its evil tendencies, and worldly desires, which are the cause of birth and rebirth, will leave it. The mind will then love the Satguru. Always remain within the will of the Satguru.

Best wishes from Bibi and the Sadhus at the Dera to everyone. I am very pleased with you, my son. Do not be afraid. Hazur will do everything Himself; you should detach yourself from it all.
