Warmest greetings from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh.

May the Grace and Mercy of the compassionate Anami Lord always be upon you, dear son.

Your letter has arrived and I am very happy to know of your well-being. You have written that a few seekers did not get initiated. Please send me their names with their districts, and also let me know how many there are, and I will send you a reply. It is good that you are holding Satsang on Sundays. A letter from Chacha Ji stated that a stone with your name engraved on it would be placed in the rooms. I have made a request to him that this should not be done, because no other room in Soami Bagh has any name engraved in it.

Babu Gajja Singh stayed here for seven days. Sub-Tehsildar Sant Lai came on ten days’ leave; he also stayed at the Dera. They both left on the 30th – we had Satsang every day.

Whenever you are free from work, my son, immediately focus your attention in Simran; then lovingly direct the Inner Seeing faculty, nirat, and the mind’s Inner Longing towards the higher mind, and catch the sound of the Shabd Dhun, leaving behind all the desires of the mind for worldly activities and attractions. Nothing but the Dhun should be heard; everything else should be ignored.

Gradually, little by little, distinguish the Dhun and control the mind’s agitations. By doing this every day the soul will develop such a Love for the Shabd Dhun that it will only want the rapture of the Shabd.

Please convey my best regards to Basant Singh. He should work wholeheartedly with Love and perseverance. Best wishes to Chanan Singh, Narain Singh, Babu Amar Singh, and Ram Chand the treasurer. You should do your Bhajan and Simran every day. Warm regards to all the Satsangis of the three batteries. All are urged to daily attend to their bhajan and simran, and also to do their government work well and wholeheartedly. My son, please write also about all those who still remain without Nam.

Bibi sends her greetings to you, her dear brother. Best greetings from Bibi and all the Sadhus at the Dera. Live in the town, my son, but remain unaffected as though you were living all alone. I am very pleased with you.
