Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh, and to Babu Hari Ram, Babu Gajja Singh, Chanan Singh, Basant Singh, Babu Gulab Singh, and the younger Bibi Ji.

May His Grace and Mercy always be upon everyone.

This is to let you know, my son, that we have now started making the bricks: ten to twelve brickmakers are employed in moulding them, and 10,000 bricks have already been made.

Do your Bhajan and Simran every day, my son. Two instalments of 50 rupees each should be sent here within a week because we need to buy firewood and dried cow-dung fuel very soon. I am unable to write much at this time. Do write about yourself.

The blessing in this age of Kali Yuga is that with a longing born of an unshakeable trust in the Satguru as the Anami Lord, if the mind attaches the Inner Hearing and Seeing faculties to the Shabd Dhun for an hour, a half-hour, a quarter-hour, or for ten, five, or even one minute, even then you will reach Sach Khand. So do your Bhajan and Simran every day – they are not to be omitted.

Whether or not the mind is there, the daily routine is not to be interrupted unless you are utterly helpless. I am very pleased with you. Perform your official duties diligently; there is plenty of time for Bhajan and Simran. As far as possible, imbibe the spirit of devotion to the Guru. Surrender everything to the Shabd. Inside and outside, all is He. The reality inside is the Naam of Sach Khand, and all that is below Sach Khand, whether gross or subtle, lustrous or earthly, Brahmand or Anda, is perishable. Shabd Dhun is both in Sach Khand and outside it. Shabd Surat alone is the doer of all deeds, but by descending into the illusory creation, maya, the soul has separated from the Shabd. Since the beginning of time, layers of illusion have come to envelope it. To return to our home, my son, there is no means other than listening to the Sound.

Best regards from Bibi to you, her dear brother. Please also convey warmest greetings from Bibi and the Sadhus at the Dera to all the Satsangis there with you.

I have no time to compose a letter properly. May, His Grace and Mercy always be upon everyone. Subedar has left but he will go via Agra, stopping there for darshan. He sent best wishes to all of you.

You have become worthy of Sach Khand. Stay firm in your devotion and True Love for the Satguru; never lose faith in Him. This, my son, is the real work – to stay always within His will.
