10 May 1900

Warm regards from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh, and to all the other Satsangis.

May the Grace and Mercy of the immortal Anami Lord always be upon everyone.

This is to let you know that as of 10 May I have received two instalments of 50 rupees each, and that they have been spent on the brick-kiln. The overall expenditure on the kiln has come to 285 rupees; additionally, 5 or 6 rupees more will be needed. The brick-kiln was fired on 8 May; I will write later about how the bricks have turned out.

I received your letter, and also a letter from Babu Hari Ram and another from Bachint Singh, as well as news in person from the painter, Nabi Bakhsh. I was very happy to read the letters. It is good that you have sent money to Bachint Singh; he should now come home. The postcard received from Agra has been forwarded to you. Chacha Ji has commanded that we come to Agra. For the rest, we are happy in the will of Hazur in this. There are said to be checkposts at railway stations on the way. Please apply for leave: if you get it, we’ll go; if not, we will send money – this is for your information.

You have written that you should be forgiven. The compassionate Lord, by forgiving all your sins, will most certainly take you to Sach Khand by the Path of Shabd Dhun. Keep doing your Bhajan and Simran every day. When you sit in Bhajan, do not keep any worldly business in the mind, nor should you ever worry about anything during that time.

Warmest greetings from Bibi and the Sadhus at the Dera. Let me know if Babu Hari Ram has arrived from Rawalpindi. This postcard is brief as I could not write a full account and just wanted to give you the news. Please convey my best wishes to both the Bibi Jis.
