30 October 1899

Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh, and to Babu Hari Ram, Gajja Singh, Basant Singh, Narain Singh, Amar Singh, Malik Thakar Das Ji, and to all others.

I received your 20 rupees on 30 October. Chanan Singh is with me at the Dera. Because of the heavy rush for Diwali, it has not been possible for him to catch a train to Amritsar. A seat will be available on 5 or 6 November, and he will reach your place without delay. Chanan Singh is not at fault; getting a seat on a train is not possible at this time. Please try to manage the best you can, my son. I will send a reply to your letter through Chanan Singh; in this letter I am being brief. Your last letter was very good; it was a pleasure to read it.

You wrote that if Bhajan were to yield its bliss, the Path would begin to open up. That is the entreaty I make to my Satguru day and night, that the Path may please be opened up, but so far no reply has come. Have firm faith that one day you will reach Sach Khand.

Please accept warm regards from Bibi to you, her dear brother.
