Lots of Love with Grace and Mercy in abundance from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh, Pritam Singh, and to all the other Satsangis in Murree Hills.

I am well in every respect, and always pray to the compassionate Hazur for your well-being.

Your letter has been received and I am very happy and gratified to read the request you made in it. Your request, my son, has been accepted at the Lotus Feet of the compassionate Hazur.

As the bandhara is definitely going to be held here at the Dera on the 15th of Asarh I will not be coming now. I will come after the bandhara and will send you a letter five days before I come. I will come first to Sunny Bank and then let you know further. The money has been sent to Agra. All the Satsangis are of the opinion that a bandhara must be held here. So I will go to Agra in Kartik – I cannot ignore the Satsangis’ unanimous view. The rest I will write and let you know how it all turns out.

There was a delay in writing this letter because I was not at the Dera, and then for four or five days I could not find the time to write. Please do keep an eye out for a job for Meya Singh and let me know whenever an opening comes up.

You wrote that ‘One day my work will finish, but when will that day arrive?’ You should see what Sri Guru Granth Sahib says in this respect. It says that when the Perfect Satguru has been found, and with It the whole secret of the Saints’ Path, then nothing further remains to be done. The task was finished right then and there. So no other path is left to be trodden, because no other task remains to be done. Only that as long as any worldly affairs – taking from some or giving to others – are still to be finished, the Inner Attention will catch the Shabd Dhun infrequently. The barrier of karma will not be broken until the account with the world is settled. That is why the Sant Satguru takes the soul across the barrier of karma only after completing the account right here, so that it may not be born again. If any debit or credit is left out, the account of past karmas will have to be cleared by taking birth again.

From the day the disciple meets the Perfect Satguru, all work takes place with the Satguru’s permission – He is not going to give another birth. From that day forth the disciple understands that

I am nothing. All that exists belongs to the Satguru – body, mind and wealth, all belong to the Satguru. I am nothing but an instrument.

That is why work performed with the body, mind and wealth will not do him any harm.

So, my son, you are already in Sach Khand. The Satguru can take a soul immediately to the place that He has pronounced, if the individual’s transactions with his worldly relations have been discharged. In every way I am very pleased with you. Please continue doing your Bhajan and Simran whenever you have time.

Please accept Bibi’s warm regards. My son, you are not separate from my form. This is an amazing play that cannot be understood without the Perfect Satguru – merely in order to transact the affairs of the world He appears as a separate body. Best wishes from all the Satsangis.
