Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh.

May the Grace and Mmercy of the compassionate Hazur, of the immortal Anami, the True Lord, always be with you, my son.

Your letter has been received and I am very happy to know of your well-being. I have written a postcard to your home to Ma Ji, addressed to your Baba Ji (grandfather), that they should not worry. Babu Hari Ram and Babu Mohan Singh both wrote in a letter that the books from Agra had not yet arrived.

You write that you go to the office on crutches. That is all right, but don’t be in a hurry – you are going to walk on your legs all your life. The Grace and Mercy of the compassionate Hazur will come by itself. You will be well in a month’s time. Do not put much weight on the leg; it will get better slowly and steadily. Also, when you are in Khairagali, do not strain the leg – either walk or ride in a sedan chair. Do as your strength permits, but go soon to your post at Khairagali as the water there is better than at your present station. Besides, you will recover properly only when you work there day and night in government service.

Hazur, the Master Himself, is always with you: He has the power to do everything. Do your Bhajan and Simran every day whenever you are free. Also, read four or five Shabds daily and keep the Satguru’s image in your mind and soul all the time. While walking or moving around, sitting or sleeping, or during any activity, it should always remain there. Then neither pride for anything you do nor any thought of self-importance will enter the mind. Listen to the Shabd Dhun every day; listening to It repeatedly will purify the soul. The source of everything, the root of every practice, is having complete faith in the Satguru; that there is no doer other than Him.

Shabd swaroop satguru hair, jaa kaa aadi na ant; kaayaa maaheen dars hain, nihche maano sant.

The Shabd-incarnate Satguru is beyond birth or death; behold him in the body – a fixed Truth, oh Saint.

My son, the compassionate Hazur has taken care of all your Spiritual Work, so now attend to your worldly business without apprehension. Do nothing outside the instructions of the Satguru.

You write that you would like to send some money for the bandhara from the first salary after your promotion. You may do as you wish. Your seva has already been done. We will see to it after you go to Khairagali.

Please convey warm regards to Ishar Das, Natha Singh, Labhu Ram, and to all the other Satsangis there.

Tell everyone to listen daily to the Shabd Dhun. Repeated listenings will purify, and one day they will reach Sach Khand.

Best wishes from Bibi to you, her dear brother, and to all her other Satsangi brothers. I shall write about the well later on. It is raining very heavily these days. Please give my Love and lots of Grace and Mercy to Chanan Singh and Basant Singh.

My son, always remember your Bhajan and Simran.
