Sri Wahiguru Ji ki Fateh from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh Ji.

We are all well and happy here, dear son, and always pray to the compassionate Lord for your health and happiness. Two letters from you arrived here on 24 May, and I was very happy to read the good news in both. I see in this the Grace and Mercy of Hazur, Who has forgiven you with his glance of Mercy – drishti. The hardship was for a few days; it will now come to an end.

You have probably received my previous letter in which I wrote to you about the brick-kiln. Now write to me every week, my son, as the Lord Himself has forgiven you. Most likely you still feel some discomfort when you write. In that case, write after you rejoin the service. I shall then come and personally explain everything that lies hidden in this body:

The manner in which Kal has accumulated karmas in the body; actions that have tied down the being; the karmas that result from taking a physical birth, and which are discharged in the body itself – all will be explained, because only after the karmas are cleared does the soul, catching the Shabd Dhun, reach Sach Khand.

One type of karma is entirely disposed of and forgiven by the Satguru; however, some karmas are such that they are paid off only by being worked out in the body. Those who have surrendered themselves to a Perfect Satguru, who have received from Him the full teaching of the five Shabds, who have developed Love and devotion for the Satguru, and to whom a firm conviction has come that the Satguru is not a mere man but has assumed the human form for the good of others – never, my son, should it enter the mind that the Satguru is a man – they have all the karmas of the gross body taken care of. That leaves the karmas of the subtle (suksham), astral body – in Sahasdal Kanwal, they too will be finished; and on reaching Trikuti, the karmas due to the causal maya – the Divine Energy that gives birth to both man and gods – will also be taken care of. Then the soul, surat, that is, the individual being, having become pure, will catch the Shabd Dhun and become absorbed in it, and the Shabd Dhun, which comes from Sach Khand, will take it to Sach Khand, into which that soul will then merge. So there is nothing to be afraid of; that home is our own. Now no more births be ahead. All and everything is to be worked out in this very body.

You write:

Gurmukh kot udhaardaa bhaaee, de navai ek kanee.

The Gurumukh redeems millions of people by giving a droplet of Naam.

That is correct, my son, but it is important to remember that Naam comes through His Grace and Mercy. Whether the Gurumukh bestows not even a particle of Naam, that is, Dhun, on anyone or, with His gracious and merciful glance, takes the whole creation with Him, no one can stand in His way. So have no fear. We are going to our Home, Sach Khand itself.

Bibi’s best wishes to you, her brother. Please also convey Ram Ram to Hari Ram.

You write, I also keep hoping. Well, whatever is the will of the Immortal One will happen. You also mention that you are to stay in bed for six weeks. That is right; this is how a broken bone is treated. You will have no discomfort. Keep your attention fixed in the Shabd Dhun and you won’t even know about the pain.
