Lots of Love and Sri Wahiguru Ji ki Fateh from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh Ji.

This is to let you know that I received your two letters in Urdu the same day. From these I have come to know the whole story of your injury, right from the beginning.1 In fact, I waited endlessly for your letter during the month of Vaisakh2, so that in reply I would explain the misfortune. But no letter or note came from you. Even if delayed, the letter should not have taken more than fifteen days. However, no news or letter came from you during the later part of Chet and the entire month of Vaisakh.

The pain you have gone through this time is a fifth of the destined suffering – four parts have been forgiven. A bound-up broken leg should not be moved. You should eat more ghee3, but only fresh ghee. The compassionate Lord Himself will forgive you. You are to have no worry; His will was like this. Since pain and pleasure are sown with the body itself, it is the body which has to harvest them. This body is a field, my son, within which they grow. You will become strong again.

About the bricks and the kiln: the kiln was stacked with 100,000 bricks and fired on the 5th of Jeth. I shall send you details of the bricks and their expense in the next letter. The kiln will be completely baked in eight to ten days.

I shall come after you have left the hospital for your residence and rejoined service.

Whenever you feel pain, engage immediately in Simran and then listen to the Shabd Dhun. You will not feel the pain in the body once the attention attaches itself to the Shabd Dhun. My son, fate (pralabdh) karmas cannot be erased without being gone through. But when the soul loses itself in the rapture of Love for the pure melody of the Sound, then the fate karmas also keep on getting erased. Fate karmas are erased to the extent that Love is experienced. I shall explain it all personally when I come to visit you.

Bibi’s best wishes to you, her brother. Best wishes from Dasaundha Singh Lambardar and all the other Satsangis. The horse was not at fault. Later, I shall explain personally to you what really happened – this was His will, never to be erased. Please convey Ram Ram to Hari Ram.
