Lots of Love from Jaimal Singh to my obedient son, Babu Sawan Singh.

May the Grace and Mercy of the compassionate Lord be upon you all the time.

I have received your postcard and the letter and am happy to read of your well-being. Hazur Swami Ji is with you in every respect; He is protecting you at every moment.

Regarding the well, the masonry chamber has been lowered to a depth of thirty feet. During excavation, sand was struck at round twenty-five feet – the wooden sill (of the masonry chamber) has reached a depth of thirty feet.

Today, Saturday, the 30th of Kartik1, the first water from the well was drawn by a waterskin, baaraa, pulled by many people. Every day, workers costing 4 and sometimes 5 rupees, are being employed. I still have 50 rupees left. It is expected that, in addition to the previous 200, we will need 50 more for the well, so you may send it from your salary for November.

You wrote that you had bought some morel mushrooms. There are still plenty left over, so there was no need to buy more. Just bring half or a quarter kilo when you come, but do not send them by parcel.

Listen to the Shabd Dhun every day whenever you are free, and continue with your Simran even when moving around. All your worldly business will be taken care of by the Lord, the Satguru Himself.

The work on the well is very time-consuming – that is why a reply to your postcard was not written earlier. Do not worry in any way. You are not going to take birth again but will always remain with me.

Bibi’s warm regards to you, her dear brother, and to all the other Satsangis. Blessings of Grace and Mercy upon Chanan Singh and Basant Singh. They should keep on doing their Bhajan. I have not understood about Roor Singh, as to who he is. Write about him again, whether or not he is a Satsangi. Write also about where your office will be located. Please tell Basant Singh to study wholeheartedly. And gradually you should start riding your horse.
