Appendix – II

I

The Saints come to remember the Souls of their True Home again. Generally They come from Sach Khand but the more confused the play is the higher is the plane from where They are sent. Guru Gobind Singh came from Agam, the seventh Spiritual Plane, as the treasure holder of the virtues and treasures of the Almighty. They come with the commission to take all those Souls Home who are destined for initiation.

At the end however the Father comes Himself to guide all Souls who have been initiated by the past Masters back to His Abode. In this way Guru Nanak already described it 500 years ago in a hymn.

Therein He said correspondingly:

I Nanak, who has reached all Spirituality one can reach must call myself a fool since I did not realise until the end that the Almighty Himself will come at the end of Kali Yuga in the form of Din Dayal Kirpal to take along all disciples.

On 6th February 1894 the expression of the Merciful manifested Itself physically in the form of Kirpal. Before Him Sawan Singh came in order to do half of the work of the Father.

Same day in the evening when I was with Him, Hazur said:

Kirpal Singh; I have done half of your work and have given Naam to over one and a half lakh persons and the rest you have to accomplish.

When Sawan Singh was to leave His physical body the Almighty Himself asked Him to stay for He likes to see His sons and daughters doing their work in His service and full of Love. Sawan Singh however said that He had to leave so that peace could reign now.

The following story may illustrate why at the end the Father comes Himself:

Once Raja Parikshat asked his minister as to why in times of a moral crisis or a calamity God Himself comes to the rescue of His children even when He has innumerable attendants at His beck and call and can direct any of them to do the job for Him. The minister replied that a loving Father as God is cannot help coming down to help His children. The Raja asked the minister to substantiate his statement and the latter promised to do so in course of time.

After some days, the minister made a doll that looked just like the Raja’s son and dressed it in the fashion of the prince. He placed the doll on the bank of a pool in the garden where the Raja used to go for a walk. The doll could be manipulated to move with strings from a distance. When the Raja next went to the garden with his minister, he saw the prince sitting on the bank of the pool. While he was wondering as to how his son was there, he saw the prince taking a plunge into the pool. The Raja could not bear this heart-rending sight and instantaneously jumped into the pool to save his son from drowning. To his great surprise, the Raja found that it was a doll and not his son. The Raja called for an explanation from the minister, who humbly replied that the farce was enacted to substantiate the truth of what he had said sometime ago about God coming down to save His children in critical moments.

Satsang – True Master and His Mission,
by Kirpal Singh, 1894–1974,
published in Sat Sandesh / May 1968

On 21st August 1974 Kirpal Singh left His physical covering. Since then the Master-Power did not take on a gross body anymore. But the Master-Power is still working and grants a connection with Naam – God-into-expression-Power – to sincere seekers.

It is the Living Master of the respective time Who leads the Souls and grants the Grace. When the Master-Power is manifested in some Human Pole, this Pole is called a Saint but the True Master is the Sound Current which has manifested in Him and not the body. (See the subsection 'The Living Master' in the chapter 'Fundamental Explanations.')

The Christ-Power – Master-Power or Godpower – lived before Jesus, It is eternal. As this Christ-Power had manifested in some Human Pole It had been called Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Guru Nanak, Ravi Das or Soami Ji for example. When this Power withdraws, the body is lifeless. All those who claim that Mohammed, Christ or any other Saint had been the last Living Master, have not understood what the Master is.

Organisations and structures saying that the connection with Naam cannot be granted until a Master is embodied on earth also do not have understood one aspect of the play. Since as long as the Kirpal-Power works directly, the Living Master is the Sound Current manifested in the True Disciples according to their receptivity and vibrating in them. The disciple is the receptacle through which the Master-Power works, he is an representative of the Master-Power.

This expression of the Absolute works as long as there are disciples of this Power who are blessed with right understanding and who have established it. These disciple are only agents and even if they may have the status of a Sadh or a Saint, they will always refer to Kirpal. As you think, so you become. Kirpal always referred to His Master Sawan Singh in His life.

When the last Gurumukh or Khalsa will leave this world with the special right understanding, a Master from Sach Khand will be sent – as it is according to the law – for all those who wish for a body, because the world is never without the manifestation of the True Master-Power.

But until then it is valid that the Conscious Co-Workers of God are allowed to give a connection with Naam to all those whom they consider to be worthy. It is through Kirpal, the Almighty Himself, that it is fulfilled. (See the section 'The Fruit of Teaching the Souls' in the subchapter 'The Narration of Khemsari,' in which it is explained as to how Sat Purush came and sat there at the time of the performance of Arti in order to break the straw.)

Guru Gobind Singh initiated Ratnagar Rao. He was the trustee of this Power after Guru Gobind Singh’s leaving of the physical body. He was however not a Master. Several years later he gave this Spiritual Reservoir of this Power which was manifested in him over to Tulsi Sahib, Who then worked as a Master in this world again.

Guru Gobind Singh created five Khalsas, because the Khalsas have the permission to grant a connection with Naam in the name of the Master-Power, whereas the Saints come with a commission as it is mentioned above. (See also the subsection 'Only a connoisseur' in the illustration to 'The Attributes of the four Messengers.')

In 2011 there was a correspondence between a disciple of Kirpal Singh from Germany and the organisation Ruhani Satsang USA, represented by Mr J. M., member of the 'Board of Directors.' The disciple was told that to all those who ask Ruhani Satsang USA about the succession of Kirpal Singh is always given the same well-considered stock repose published by Ruhani Satsang USA:

Sant Kirpal Singh passed on from this earth in 1974. As such, He is no longer taking on new people to guide out of this world and back to God. He left many books that explain, as much as can be in a worldly language, the meaning of life. The books and the Ruhani Satsang website http://www.RuhaniSatsangUSA.org/ are maintained to help stir an interest in God and to help people to know what to look for in their search for the way back home.

Factually this is however not correct as one regards Kirpal Singh’s statements concerning this subject and the implementations above.

Hazur more than once emphatically declared:

The mission of Spirituality can only be carried on successfully by one Adept in Spirituality. It cannot be entrusted to a blind person. Whoever has a desire to find me out can reach me within through One Who is linked with me. You will not find me in the company of those who are after the possessions of the world. Be not deceived by such people. Do abhyas and peep inside your own self and meet me. I do not dwell in the midst of mayaic insects. Go to some selfless being who is after me and lives for me and is not after possession of Deras. Gurumukh is delighted to have His Guru, while a manmukh wallows in luxury and pleasures of the world – Maya.

Furthermore Kirpal Singh wrote the following:

[…] the Master was speaking on the Jap Ji, expounding its profound meaning and unearthing the Spiritual Treasures hidden in its lyrical ecstasy. There were only a few listeners and Jaimal Singh slipped quietly into a corner. He heard the discourse with rapt attention, drinking in every word that fell from the lips of the Saint.

When the morning assembly was over, Swami Ji welcomed His new visitor and wished to be acquainted with the object of his visit.

I am in search of the gift of Naam and a Saint Who can bestow its blessing upon me,

replied Jaimal Singh.

I heard of Your greatness and have hastened to Your door.

I am afraid you will find no Saint here,

smiled the radiant Swami Ji.

I am only a mere servant of the Saints. Even the Great Nanak regarded Himself as no Saint; then how can a mere nothing like myself be of any consequence?

He then welcomed Jaimal once more, assuring him that he could stay there as long as he pleased, for all were free to share the bounty of the Sahib, the Lord above.

A Great Saint / Baba Jaimal Singh (First Edition, 1960) –
II. / (iii) The Consummation,
by Kirpal Singh, 1894–1974

For all those who have been connected with Naam it is important to understand that Sat Purush can take the blessing which they reflect in their life in order to distribute it to the entire creation and to bless it.

In this connection Kirpal Singh said:

I wish you all to become ambassadors of Truth.

In addition He said:

The word Satsangi means: Sat means Eternal, Unchangeable Permanence; and sangi means one who comes in constant contact with the Truth. For that reason you have got some experience to start with. But you have to go on still further and live up to it.

Rome was not built in a day.

Time factor is necessary. When you develop from day to day you will become conscious of that Light and Music of the Spheres that is reverberating throughout all creation. It will come like that in due course, but we have to work for that. Mind that, one does not become a Satsangi, a True Initiate, simply by being given a contact. Of course, some experience is necessary to start with. If you have no experience, it cannot be developed.

So, fortunate you are, that with the Grace of God, all of you have some contact with that. Now we have to develop it, so much so that even while sleeping, working and being anywhere we will always be conscious of that. So the initiate must mould his life in accordance with the principles of Satsang in thought, word and deed. You must be pure and live up to what you are told, even in your thoughts, even in your own speech and even in your own actions. Live up to them.

What is True Living (Original Tape Recording) –
Lecture from 11 December 1963,
by Kirpal Singh, 1894–1974

Once Kirpal Singh explained that when a Soul reaches the third circling of the Wedding Hymn of Guru Ram Das she becomes a Conscious Co-Worker of the Divine Plan. (See also the subsection 'Accept Naam with Love and determination' in the illustration to 'The Indispensability of the Guru.')
