Knowledge of Self and Overself

One knows one’s Self – Self-knowledge – not by feelings or by emotions or by drawing inferences to come to some conclusion – as these are all subject to error – but by the first-hand experience of rising above the outgoing faculties, the senses, and the mind, by means of practical self-analysis, with the attention from and the help of some authorised and competent contemporary Master of Truth.

One knows God by first really knowing one’s Self above body consciousness, as the Self alone can know the Overself:

Like knows the like.

The man-body is the True Temple of God. God resides in the temple of the human body made by Him in the womb of the mother and not in temples made by the hand of man. The soul also resides in the man-body. God manifests in the temple of the human body as Spiritual Light and Sound – Word or Naam –, Which can be seen with the Third Eye, or Single Eye, and heard by the Spiritual Ear – higher faculties already within each man. Symbols for these Inner Manifestations of God are kept in the outer temples, church buildings, and mosques in the form of candles, lamps, bells, music, etc. The outer places of worship have been constructed on the model of the True Temple, the man-body.
